Okay, let's keep this civil. I want to know why owning a semiautomatic, military style firearm, with quick change magazines exceeding let's say 8 rounds, is so important to you. Why? What do you use it for that you could not otherwise do with something like a Henry Long Ranger.223 Remington, or let's say a Model 48 9mm S&W Revolver?

I have other questions concerning the whole firearms issue, but let's start with this. I will not be deflected, if you don't wish to discuss this specific question, please move on.

Before you launch into a tirade, know that I started shooting at around the age of 10, am a combat veteran, a retired Mastersergeant, own and always have owned, at least one firearm, and support our 2nd Amendment. I sincerely want to know your reasoning.

Every gun argument used by the right to protect gun owners is the same used by the left to keep abortion.

Is there some legit reasons to it? Maybe but most people are 100% onboard with one... and 100% against the other.
