I have a question about flying. My job(s) and vacations over many years had me flying, a lot.

Question, ever hear “Is there a doctor onboard?” announcement?

I’ve heard it twice.

One they made the call. I heard a guy say, “l’m an OB/GYN.” The flight attendant’s back was to me. Then I heard him say, “Yes, really am.” “Yes, I am fluent in French, where is she?” That lady came by, they were helping her walk forward. Came back through. I heard the doc sit back down and say to his seat mate it was false labor and she was all right.

One time I was upgraded to first class and this guy dropped like a sack of potatoes in the aisle by my seat. There were 2 ER doctors on board. Long story short is they gave him orange juice and he snapped out of it. I gave up my seat for the doctor and patient. The old lady next to me would not. They moved grandma to another first class seat and that guy and me took the seats in the back. The doctor was the only one who said thanks. The aircrew didn’t say shit to me.

Question came up because someone told me that never happens.

How about you guys?

You obviously know it does happen, so why ask? 🤷‍♂

@RedBaron Sometimes you say it best when you say nothing at all.
