It depends on how far my destination is, and where this is business or pleasure, and how often I make the trip.

I deeply hate flying

and I thoroughly enjoy roadtripping

its that driving or rail is not always practical otherwise I would never enter another flying sewage pipe ever again

I love either one

I don't mind either

I haven’t flown since 1999 but I’ll need to the end of this month. I can’t say I’m 100% comfortable with flying, but I did love the view so I called window seat again. lol Mostly just nervous because air travel is a shitstorm right now. I would wait that out if I could. I love a good road trip, though, particularly when neither the schedule nor the company are overly tight. 😂👍

Driving when applicable!
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
Road. I don’t trust the left phalanges on airplanes.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
Road Trip if it is two days in the car. Air if it is longer.
@SweetMae Same .. maybe more days on road if taking in some points of interest along the way vs just blazing down the highway.
with so many delays and cancellations right now I'll take a road trip

Depends. Would hate to go on a road trip from the US to Europe! 🙃😈😁

How would gas up in the middle of the Atlantic? 🤔 😆
road. i loathe flying. im not a terribly worried or uneasy flier, i just deeply resent being treated like a criminal and cargo/herd animal to get the privilege of paying lots of money to get somewhere,.
I like flying, or did before they reduced the seat size to fit a skinny, short 8 yr old. I despise airports. They are huge silos crammed with anxiety.

Road trip - any day of the week.
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
Seldom see it as an either/or choice. For soaking up the culture, the countryside, a road trip or rail trip, public transit by far. If that culture, countryside I intend to visit is a significant distance, then fly to get there so there is more time for the road trip.

Either is good. I love flying though.

Unless I just have to go a long way in a hurry I would just as soon drive.

@swirlie forgive me but how do trains go overseas?

I prefer to fly even though I hate flying. I know it’s safer than driving. Trains seem to take forever and I’m always worried there will be an accident

@swirlie I’m scared. Been flying all my life and loved it as a kid but since I became a parent and also since I watched Alive, I’m scared

Road trip

I find air travel stressful. Especially with trying to make connection flights with delays.
HeavenBesideYou · 56-60, F
Road trip!

But I’ll fly if it makes more sense.
Tom610 · 61-69, M
I have to say that I don't fit on most public transportation. Therefore I usually travel in my pickup truck, and enjoy getting to see things, as I drive through them.
Tom610 · 61-69, M
I haven't been in a plane since 1984. I didn't fit then, and I know that I've grown a little since then, and the plane's have become a lot smaller.

I'm going to slide on into the front seat of my pickup, and head off to any place I want to go.

A road trip with me driving. Want to see what's over that next hill?
