Do you like staying in hotels?

That's one of my favorite parts of traveling. Going somewhere different and staying in a waterfront hotel, or one with a Lakeview.

🏨🛎️🧳
It has to be a really nice hotel. Lately when my family and I vacation we’ve gotten the opportunity of staying in really nice and clean ones. So, it’s all I can tolerate. Recently we went out of town with more family, and that family chose the hotel and it was so gross. 🤢🥲 I so badly wanted to be home.

Otherwise, I enjoy staying in hotels. I agree that it’s one of my favorite parts of traveling.

@Stark yikes, I always research first

Most of the time it's been good. Once I was on the same floor as a stag party and it was hell. I hung the do not disturb sign on the door and they all stood outside my room and shouted "do not disturb? You are having a laugh aren't ya?".
I prefer them over having a house or apartment to be honest. My last hotel on had a view of the interstate... Not very exciting but it's all good.

Next booked hotel has an ocean view

@Callmewhatyouwill why a hotel over a house or apartment?
@iamnikki couple reasons, lived in them for about 5 years while I was working travel jobs. So I got used to them

Also there's just something about the freedom to pack up and leave at anytime that I find appealing.

If it's a nice hotel. :) I've had some rough experiences along the way haha.

If it’s a clean one with no loud noises, and good breakfast, yes!

I spend way too much time in hotels and hate every one of them.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@iamnikki Blandly the same. Nothing to do there that I couldn't be doing some place nicer (like my own bed at home) lol. Then there is the noise of other people going down the hall or having a fight or getting drunk and loud. Sadly the more expensive the place the less I like it.

@hippyjoe1955 what makes you spend lots of time in them?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@iamnikki My work. I take crews all over Western Canada. From Vancouver to Winnipeg and from Victoria to Yellowknife. I am in a hotel about once a month or so often for days at a time.

It depends upon the hotel, as sometimes I travel so much for business that the hotels blur together, but a luxurious resort, I do not mind at all.

There’s something about hotels that feels so cosy.
