What's the farthest you've ever driven your own car?

ArishMell · 70-79, M
Probably about 1100 - 1200 miles each way, not counting touring the area of Norway we visited, nor of course some 400 nautical-miles of North Sea ferry crossing.

It was about 400 miles from home to ferry port even before leaving England.

(1200 miles ~ 1900km)

We were impressed by a distance-sign on the E6 (Norway's trunk-road) just past Trondheim:

Narvik 999

(kilometres of course)

I have no idea if that is admirable though rather excessive surveying precision, or to give a slight psychological boost by stating the distance just under the full 1Mmetre! (Mm, not mm....)
