People do care, Im pretty sure you are not the only one who's ever missed the bus 😀 People will understand
4meAndyou · F
Try leaving for the bus stop 10 minutes earlier than usual.
xRedx · M
I'd say be there ten minutes before for good measure. It's not always on time. Sometimes it's a bit earlier or a bit late.
MasterDvdC · 61-69, M
I used to take the bus to work for years. Was never late for work because of the bus. Busses have a schedule. As a result they cannot wait. However, because of factors beyond their control they aren't always able to be exact on their route. Get to the stop at least 15 minutes early and be patient. Also it is a good idea to leave plenty of time to get to your destination. Much better to have to wait there than be late for work.

I completely understand, I hated that.

If the bus before that one gets there at say 7:58 and the other one leaves earlier than its supposed to then you'll almost always miss it. That's why its important for buses to always be on time (not early or late) because one or two minutes in either direction really does make a difference.

@coffeedimplez Transit unions and cities do not care, all they care about is if the buses are running and collecting fares.

@smileylovesgaming 10 minutes
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F

1. If the bus waited for everyone with a 'legitimate' excuse, it would never reach its destination.

2.'On time' for an 8am anything means getting there at 7:50.
ElizabethBabe1994 · 26-30, F
@NativeOregonian It's not my fault that the bus was too early. I left the house at 7:50am.
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@ElizabethBabe1994 I am not saying it is your fault. I learned early on when I was taking TriMet in Portland to always be at your stop ten minutes earlier than scheduled because drivers are known to speed to compensate for those stops that have a lot of people.
MasterDvdC · 61-69, M
@ElizabethBabe1994 Yes it is your fault. If the bus was scheduled to) leave at 8 then you should already have been there at 7:50 instead of just leaving the house. And your boss is right. Take an earlier bus.
Pherick · 41-45, M
Public transportation is so convenient sometimes and other times its utterly worthless.
ElizabethBabe1994 · 26-30, F
@Pherick my boss said it's my own fault for being late and take an earlier bus
Pherick · 41-45, M
@ElizabethBabe1994 I mean I guess he isn't wrong, but still doesn't make it any more of a pain in the ass to try and be at a bus stop at a certain time and then to have the bus come early.
