I Was Assaulted

I got attacked last night during my shift. A drunk wandered into the station from a nearby caravan site. I was minding my own business because I was in the middle of stocking shelves and that when I hear loud thudding, and I turn my head around to see that one of them were whacking at the door. I went over because the door is always opened but he was more like trying to smash the glass. I opened the door, asked him politely not to do that. You know what happens? started to provoke me. At first, it was verbal and that when my co-worker decided to come out the office to see what was going on and that when I was struck in the face. I flinched backward but didn't fall and that when he lunged at me, and at the end all I can say the police was involved, statements were taken and today I don't have to go into work but honestly I am not going to let that be an excuse to stop me from going to work. So I am still going in tonight
