Emotional flashback

My boyfriend asked me what signs there are that I'm in an emotional flashback but I don't know how to properly describe what it's like. I don't understand it has even happened me until hours or sometimes days later.

So I turned to my friend google for general images and illustrations to make more sense of it. Here's some I found explained it well.

Flashback vs emotional flashback:

Psychologic module showing PTSD vs CPTSD:

Quote from one of the most famous books about CPTSD, by Peter Levine:

And for the biology nerds, a brain scan image:

I think I logically get it but it feels impossible to acknowledge it while I'm in it.

Also. How long do I have to be a member on SW to create a group here? So far only PTSD groups exists and I need a CPTSD specific forum.

Given "professionals" still argue about PTSD/CPTSD or did last I read, it's no surprise we have no group here. For me it can vary, feeling of dread and just wanting to withdraw from everything until it passes is the most common. Recently I started trying some techniques. I'll try to find the link...

@soulshadow it's the same thing as my emotional flashback , asked my boyfriend. The only difference is one isn't by choice
