@helsbels You start out claiming gender identity should not be taken seriously how does that contribute to it? Especially since it's factually incorrect. Trans people being valid should be out of question. The way we organize equality in order to not compromise womens safety from possible predators is a discussion we can and should have.
Psychological profiles of predators are often linked to fragile egos, lust for power and those people are transphobic too. You have the same enemy.

@FragileHeart What does 'valid' mean to you? If it means that because someone feels like the opposite sex they can then compel others to believe that they are undeniably so, I can't do that. Sorry to those who think that opinion is 'actual violence'. If it means treating transpeople with the same respect I'd treat anyone else with, of course they are 'valid'. But not agreeing with every expectation they have is not transphobic.

@ReneeT Same here. I've only ever touched the books at a library or a friend's, but never actually read them while other in my age did. I guess the size of the book didn't seem to my liking either 😂
