The love ran out

I don’t resent them. I did for a little while, but I understand it all now. I put so much into it all, but it wasn’t wanted or understood. And when it became clear to me that I wasn’t anyone to them, I had to let the love run out. I needed to grow my heart for what or who actually wanted me. That can’t be done if I deplete my resources on those who waste them.
