how do people feel about

Since I don't like giving my name, I don't like to ask or be asked either. Unless I trust and know someone well enough.

People who I have known for a long time know my name, location, email addy and cell # ... they are friends ... just like any other friends

I don't give out any personal info other than a first name. I learned that the hard way.
