There's a lot going on in our country. Needless to say we have a few issues that keep us at each other's throats.

But what do you think is the number issue that has the country divided?

Lunatic democrats

Individualism. The premise of our country is fundamentally separation of individuals. There's no patriotism or identifying with the whole, only personal greed.

The ideas of freedom leads to an inherent lack of discipline, and the extolling of the individual sacrifices the collective.

There is no overarching group. There are only 325,000,000 separate countries.

You forgot the real reason. liberal/democrats who are still crying over the election results

@NativeOregonian Have you learned to control your temper?

@strongbow You ever stop masturbating to films of hitler rallies?
strongbow · 46-50, M
@NativeOregonian No, its rather soothing, so you've channeled your anger into thinking about me masturbating?🤭
The crooks doNot wanna be exposed.. so it’s block , stall, deflect, accuse...

The government is using all those things to divide us. They want to control the people and many WANT to be controlled. The others do not want to be controlled and it is causing strife.

Truth is no longer relevant to anyone involved with mass media and politics.

I believe under certain circumstances, we can come together despite most of these issues. With issues like immigration and racism, I see us as a family just having a fight. With the economy, however, I see it differently. This particular issue has the potential to turn us on one another, to become enemies with our neighbors.

None of the above. It's philosophical in our thinking. We always assume individually that each of us is right.

Few step back and ask themselves: What if I am wrong?

And fewer still look for evidence that would prove themselves wrong, once they have ask that question.

I think complete and utter stupidity, lack of a real education and lack of the ability to think independently instead of thinking only the thoughts of a group of bullies is dividing the country very effectively.

I actually had someone tell me, on one of my posts from last week, that I shouldn't worry about how much my taxes will go up if Elizabeth Warren is elected and implements her medicare for all program....and the reason that was given was because taxes would not go up at ALL because the government has plenty of money. 🤪
People are politically divided more than they’ve ever been.
NativeOregonian · 51-55
@Spoiledbrat Mass media is to blame for this more than anything other than the politicians themselves.

Freedom of speech because one side will listen to the other side but the other side is intolerant of anyone with opinions different from their own even if I don't agree with someone I still respect the right that they can have different opinions than mine but then I have some people who will literally blow a gasket because I believe in the way I believe
It is racism without a doubt. In fact, you might as well just have put "Trump/Racism" because they are the same thing.
Greed and deceit.
