Idk with stuff like that people sometimes end up buying new ones cause the replacement parts aren't available anymore or are too expensive, but it's nice that you made the effort hehe and well were all cautious 😁😁

I like the outside courtyard precaution. If the transformer is not working, would it still power up the unit? I thought that is what distributes the power from the electrical source.

@MarkPaul Things like the circuit board and the lights probably operate on 0-24V DC while the unit that produces the microwaves operates on something like 2000V AC. The transformer is the large block with 2 large coils that transforms 240V to ~2000V through magnetic flux (the magnetism in one coil causes an opposing magnetic force in the other coil which causes electrons to move in relation to how many turns of wire there is). If this specific transformer doesn't work then the only thing that won't be getting power is the microwave generation unit (magnetron) ☺️
