Is it just a waste of money to go and buy a baby potatoes when I have a bag of regular potatoes at home already?

I' thinking of baking some Lamb chops and feel like Baked smashed Baby Potatoes would be the perfect accompaniment... Plus if I went I'd probably end up buying other stuff as well, like chocolate for instance... 🥺 You can see my dilemma.
