Only if we give into the hype of what "good living" is.

If you believe satisfaction of life comes from what you buy... Then yeah - you'll never be happy.
Technology has less influence on happiness than how we think, how we interpret the things that happen around us.
How we use technology can have repercussions for happiness, but that's not the fault of the tools we use.

What I've noticed over time is that people tend to have much shorter attention spans and have become less skilled at conversation.
This might be a result of more time texting and less face to face.
I think it reduces the quality of relationships.
@hartfire I agree particularity with your last paragraph.... People are becoming less responsible with their words.

I think what makes people less happy is that they’re able to compare their lives to others. You see nothing but beautiful people everywhere living amazing lives and even though that information is 90% fake, you still feel like less of a human being because of it.

It depends on how you use it. 😎 If people are always expecting someone to "get with them" all the time here they may be disappointed.

I think so, but more through virtue of being more educated and exposed to wider realities

We can see others living “ better” so we may grow envious or unhappy with what we have.
