I really need to stay away from the wine when feeling stressed. I make stupid posts and wake up with chipmunk cheeks.

Sounds like you need to avoid wine completely.
Read The Label: Are there SULFITES in your Wine 🍷?
YES! .... nearly all winemakers add sulfites , it's used as a needed preservative
That's the reason (aside from partial dehydration) usually!
Most people can and do consume truckloads of sulfites with absolutely no side effects whatsoever. However, the unfortunate few may experience hives, swelling, stomach pain, diarrhea, and even anaphylaxis (in rare cases) after consuming sulfites.
Are you drinking more than truckloads?
In theory, you can remove sulfites by adding hydrogen peroxide to your wine.
.
for the typical wine at 80 mg/L sulfites, 1 milliliter (~ 1/4 teaspoon) of 3% hydrogen peroxide, the form sold in pharmacies, will remove the sulfites in one bottle of wine.
It doesn't say if it affects the wine's taste at all, try it.
Lots of water and an antihistamine will help.

It sounds like you might be allergic
@Bexsy
Guess I'll not try anymore
No, it's a very common side effect, I Googled:
"sulfites in your wine side effects like swelling in the face". There's lots to peruse about the subject.

Maybe try drinking a pile of water once you're done with the wine!

Do you have allergies to wine?
@WillaKissing that would be my luck 😩
WillaKissing · 56-60, T
@Bexsy It is part of my bad luck with dry wines I get a splitting headache off of just one sip is why I asked.
Sweet and cheap wines do not do that to me.
