A person some feel is toxic, others may not have a problem with.
Too often labels are stuck on people just because another or a few don't like them or get along with them.
I just find it toxic in general to wish bad or harmful things on others that don't agree with other's ways of thinking or doing.

If you feel constantly stressed in their presence, they are prob toxic.
They may be negative, easily angered, neurotic, illogical, always right, erratic, moody, manipulative, dishonest, socially inappropriate, obnoxious
If you find yourself that you cannot relax bc you are nervous or constantly questioning how genuine they are then they are prob toxic

Anyone can be toxic, if they make your life miserable. You can have two fairly normal people in a toxic relationship. Those same people could have good relationships with others. However, some toxic people are narcissists, or just plain mean. You’ll know it by how it affects you.

That's a tough one.
A common one I see:
Someone who is willing to hurt solely to either protect themselves or relieve their own pain.
Some people (at work) come off as toxic. Once I figure out what their purpose is (because most people will just see it as selfishness), I help them reach their goal through less-toxic means.

It seems to me that people use it just because they don't like somebody or if somebody tells them the truth then they're toxic even if they don't tell them in a harsh way.
Honestly, think people, myself included ,sometimes cut people off too quickly without thinking about it first.
If I had to define it I would say it's somebody who continually tramples all over your boundaries or always trying to put you down, even if done subtly.
There's no reason for anybody to exalt themselves above anybody else by putting others down, even if it ain't very often,to me that is very toxic.

Bullies, sadists, people who take joy in provoking you, causing you pain, f**ing with your mind and putting you down despite that they see you don't like it.
