@Somewhereovertherainbow The critical part of this type of massage is knowing the 612 basic pressure points of the body and the energy meridians which they control. The acupressure points act as little gates or switches, that can stop, steer, or permit energy to flow freely, depending on what the therapist perceives the body needs. The amount of pressure is much less relevant- a little pressure in the wrong place can hurt as much or more than too much in the right place.

@Somewhereovertherainbow Before you try acupressure sessions, try a tool called a "still-point inducer". It's a two-bump neck rest, and you just lay face-up with your neck on it as you relax for a while.
