Just had my first therapy session.

Not certain how I feel about it

Wait until the therapist starts telling you his problems

It can be strange at first. My advice is to write down a list of what you want to talk about first so you don't feel stuck for words. First couple sessions is about discussion and building rapport.

The first few are always the worst ones in my opinion

@NickiHijab I'm not even certain I want to continue on. I've embarrassed myself enough 😂🤣

@SW-User I felt the same and even avoided a lot of them at first. I know it seems like common sense but the more you face a situation or a problem the less awkward it gets talking about it. At the end of the day you're showing up for yourself and there's nothing embarrassing about that.

How do you feel about that?

I think it takes several sessions to get a better idea

At least you tried.

I still don't know how I feel about it after like 15 sessions 🤣
