@akindheart GIMP is completely free, no adware, no nag screens, nothing like that. GIMP is short for GNU Image Manipulation Program, and GNU is an ongoing project to make great software that's "free as in freedom" - no patents, sources available if you want to modify it, etc.

@akindheart GIMP is free. It rivals photoshop in capability.
I recommend that you watch a few youtube videos to learn simple photoedits.
If your doing the same kinds of things over, it should work well. Like photoshop there are SO many tools and adjustments, it can become overwhelming. Good luck

If you have any full version of Microsoft office, some of those came with a photo editing program but it is kind of limited. The benefit of it though is it is very easy to use

@akindheart I have MS Office Professional 2003. On there I think it's called photo manager. It's not robust by any means but more of a No-Frills way to do some simple editing. By the way gimp is totally free but it does take some learning. It is 2D of course and every bit is powerful as programs like Photoshop

Try PhotoScan by Google. You easily scan via your cell camera. Even easier to adjust borders and crop. The pics turn out better than original. It doesn’t edit pics, but based on what it appears you need it’s perfect. I use it often.

Are you using a PC? Windows pictures will allow you to edit photos or scans. Use the edit feature it will remove borders and enlarge.
