Brings back memories.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
I remember those days. Those things had no hard drives. The operating system was on a floppy disk. You could load it, but it would vanish when you turned the machine off.

It was damn slow …@DrWatson
drymer · 56-60, M
@scorpiolovedeep Yes, computers were way slower, but the programs and OS they ran were much simpler than today's, so most tasks would not take a ridiculous amount of time... I find that as computers get faster, programs get bigger and more complex so that computer tasks always take their time...
Looks like one of the first computers I had at work.

Thanks that you appreciate this ..@bijouxbroussard

These look like the 8" floppy disks, so a bit before my time (I started with the 5 1/2" floppies). I guess this is from the 1970s, then...

This is a circa 1979 NEC PC-8001, with dual 8" floppy disks and a Z-80 clone CPU.

What kinda animal is that?
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@NickiHijab It's a feral computer.

I have no experience with that at all.
