Sleep doctor appointment

I'm going to see my sleep doctor. Nothing is working and I feel like none of my doctors are on the same page. I get tired of hearing of I don't know why this doctor put you on this, said stop taking that. Each doctor tells me something different. Even Joel is confused about what pills I'm supposed to be taking right now.

I just know I can not keep going like this. Yesterday I could barely function. But my boy needed me so I had to power though.

Im just tried and frustrated. I need sleep. Like every night. Is that to much to ask for. It might be.

Good luck. I used to lecture medical students. I often told them there is no health care system, that it like common sense are oxymorons.
@samueltyler2 thanks I just need something to work. Every doctor I see makes a change or adds something new. Mine taking all my pills and with me so she can see what is going on.

@Cigarguy101 in my practice, i often set up telephone conference calls between specialists and the patient.
@samueltyler2 That’s one of the things I learned during the illness of my husband. Everybody ‘knows’ about their specialty but seem to sidestep the fact that the whole body is involved.

It’s like having separate mechanics for your car’s internal workings. The carburetor is doing great, but the car won’t start.
@Mamapolo2016 it gets very frustrating
@samueltyler2 my neurologist and sleep doctor did appointment together with me a month ago but everybody has made changes since that appointment. Sometimes I feel like they forget I'm a living person with feelings and think oh let's try this oh let's try this and they don't care what it's actually doing to me

@Mamapolo2016 I call it solo medicine. I hate when it happens to me!
@Cigarguy101 It does. And it DOES require monitoring.

@Cigarguy101 in their defense, they are under a lot of pressure to perform. I was lucky, my salary was covered by my grants, so i could take almost as much time as I wanted, often well over an hour for an initial consultation.
@samueltyler2 I get that and I'm not blaming any of my doctors but like said I'm exhausted, I can't keep track of who changed what and when I'm supposed to take. I'm scared. I know I can't physically keep this up. I'm not a smart guy but my partner is even concerned and confused about what I should be taking. He's coming to the appointment with me so we can get everything figured out.

@Mamapolo2016 what are you referring to as "it?'

@Cigarguy101 do you take notes? You should always used the repeat as question technique. Periodically stop the provider and read back your notes and ask, do I have it all. And is what I have correct. The it is the information you recorded.
@samueltyler2 my partner has been taking notes for me lately. He's much better at it then I am. That's why he's coming with me today. He's worried too.

@Cigarguy101 be sure to review the notes with the provider.
@samueltyler2 my partner is bringing all our notes and emails from the past few months
