I Am Worried

//long, I'm sorry

Okay so I went shopping to buy a small cheap notebook for studying, and this man comes out of nowhere, asking who I am and what I'm looking for. He's dressed in business attire so I assumed he was an employee who came to help me look for the notebooks. And like all employees do, he struck a nice conversation with me. Well turns out I was wrong to think he worked there. When I went to pay for the notebook, he tried to pay it himself and asked if I was sure when I insisted to pay on my own (the book was only $1.89). I mean, I like kind people but we are strangers! I thought he was an employee but after all this, he wanted my number! And I'm flattered, I really am, but like I said WE ARE STRANGERS. He was probably just trying to buy me, if you get what I'm saying. It's not my first time encountering men like that but with the previous ones, we were at least acquaintances, we knew about each other. But this man! I just met him! This man caught me off guard. I'm feeling worried and will avoid that store for a while.

Meh, you should be fine, just bring a friend with you to the store so you can be safe

When you was on your way home... Did he follow you?

No, I made sure that he didn't.

Oh. I know a man bought my older sister Jordan's coffee from Starbucks one morning. He was in a good mood so he said "I'm gonna buy this lady's coffee". But then again it's different on your part, as that man didn't try to date my sister.

Yeah, I don't mind people who just want to help out, which has happened to me and I appreciate it. But this man was up to something, not just helping out of kindness.

@goagainsttheflow: Something very very bad?
goagainsttheflow · 26-30, F
@KandiGhostcat: Possibly to use me, it can also lead to worse things. It's dangerous to trust strangers who pay for you and ask for your number. I wish the world were a perfect place, but unfortunately it isn't.

probably just a poor fellow with social problems, trying to find a girl

I don't think so. I forgot to mention that he asked where I lived. He's really suspicious.
