I Don't Need Drugs and Alcohol to Have Fun

I do not drink or smoke and also try to refrain from caffeine. All are drugs, chemicals that alter your state of mind. Just because they are legal it does not mean these substances do not harm you, and just because you feel okay after one drink it doesn't mean it isn't affecting you.

Excellent personal life choices, Steve. I would have added on to your statement (as encouragement to others) how being drug free also helps with being creative...i.e, the piano playing, the interest in physics or matters of intellect (if Einstein there has a role.) Now that I'm in college I find that I gravitate to interesting, creative people to hang out with. Unfortunately, a lot of 'em have a beatnik mentality, which means lots of black coffee and French non-filtered cigarettes. I don't think they need that stuff to be interesting but it appears wedded to their current personas. LOL, hopefully it's just a phase.

Thank you :) Well, the aversion of drugs improving the intellect should be obvious, but there are those that pretend cannabis improves concentration. Mixing with intelligent people, intelligent topics, self confidence and staying healthy is what matters. And those people you speak of, posing. I hate posing. May I PM you?:)

Ahh, now, Steve-oh....give the 'posers' a break. Many of 'em are just going through an interesting life phase. Some of the most entertaining and memorable times I've had in my short college career up until now are with these folks. Heck, even in my own family network of Irish and Viking clans we can stir up quite a ruckus with music, dance, and story telling after tapping into some kegs of home made ale and forever aged single malt spirits.

Tolerance for everyone's choices isn't a bad thing to have.

This is my own post in a group entitled "i dont need drugs and alcohol to have fun", if you don't feel I'm entitled to state how I don't drink and smoke with the reasoning behind it in such a group on my own thread, then take your "judgaholic" intolerance elsewhere.
