Do you have a favorite moisturizer?

I have combination skin, mostly it's dry and I get breakouts on my arms sometimes, sometimes on my back and thighs too it's not sometimes I can control and it's not for lack of hygiene- it's a hormonal issue for me.
I've tried lightweight moisturizers but my skin doesn't absorb them.
I've gone the route of natural organic coconut oil which helps a little but I can tell it's not being a absorbed well by my skin.

(I actually can't wait until the farmers market comes back so I can stock up on this body butter this lady makes with organic oils- which really helps the most)

nope.

though, uh, yes i do this.. i love the avocado, oatmeal facial mud. :D

sure helps with the scabs and clogged up icky pores.

plus i look like a primitive tribesman while it dries on my face.. WOOWOOO!

(yeh, i sneak in at times and use my wife's sundries... some are actually good.. the rest i think are bunk just to make problems for you so you have to buy even more products..?)

my mom has hypersensitive skin and swears up and down that aveeno is the best moisturizer out there.
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@JarJarBoom: going straight to google now. And possibly amazon if I can buy them there lol
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@JarJarBoom: I found quite a few creams in the aveeno line! I can't wait to try one or more of these!

@Tristemuneca: yea, my mom swears up and down by it..but she has some freak allergy to most lotions and creams

Philosophy. I tried Dr. Perricone and it was really good but so expensive.

Don't rub doctor on skin he might feel you like a dead body :P
katielass · F
Trust me, he's too expensive for anything but the face. Actually too expensive in my view for that too. Thank god I was blessed with great skin.

@katielass: Great! :)
I just use Aveeno for my body and bulldog moisturizer for my face.

Bullldog moisturizer?
Nivea, Aveeno, a lot of the tanning lotions from a tanning bed place work wonders and you can use that on your face.
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
Eh I'm not a fan of tanning lotions. Thank you though.
@Tristemuneca: it works wonders for me :-)
Hemp Lotion! Try it!

Hahaha yes! I drink 3-4 Liters a day. However being diabetic it mostly goes right through me lol

Well I'm a dude, so I don't really use too many products, but I wash my face with Dove and that's made my skin okay. I also have combination skin (oily T zone)
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
I use one I had for acne in the past
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
@MartinTheFirst: no i try and use only natural products with as little chemicals as possible.

However I have a hormonal imbalance that stems from a hormone secreting tumor which is very likely on my pituitary gland.
I will be having further imaging and testing to pinpoint the location of the tumor and consult with a brain surgeon to have it removed...
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@Tristemuneca: i wish you the best 😔
KaysHealingPath · 36-40, F
Thank you @MartinTheFirst: no sad faces. I need this issue fixed because my skin issues are only cosmetic but there are other very serious complications if I don't have it removed.
My skin is the least of my worries, my liver kidneys and spleen are enlarged as well as my left lung. They may never go back down to normal size so if I go on many more years like this than I already have it could lead to organ failure 🤦🏻‍♀️
