Does anyone know of a home remedy for joint pain and inflammation?

I use my hands for work and home. I've had discomfort and swelling in my fingers. Please any information you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Try soaking you hands in hot water. The heat might help the joint pain. Might not help the inflammation but might help the pain.

A liniment, such as Ben Gay, or Icy Hot might help as well.

Thanks so much to all of you for your input. Its a minor problem but I have to cook and take care of my family. Difficult to do if I can't use my hands.

boil 2 litres of water, place in a basin and add 1 pint of cheap whiskey, soak hands or affected area until water cools then rub mustard oil into affected area and wrap up,if it's hands wear tight gloves, feet wear a surgical elastic tubular bandage, etc,it will take 2 r 3 attempts before you notice any change.

That's different. I've heard of using mustard before. I just don't like the idea of wasting the whiskey like that.lol

Not sure if they sell it in other countries by that name. Basically it's an antiflamatory. Hope u get it sorted. I lift all day long and still box with my condition but know one day I will have to stop.

Magnesium supplements, also epsom salt soak. Tumeric doesn't hurt either. Cold water soak reduces the inflammation a bit too.

I suffer from mild rheumatoid arthritis and the only thing I take for that really is ibroprufon. I'm not big on pills. Lol.
