I Think Good Friends Are Rare

My friend, Austyn, his girlfriend, Ashlyn, and his girlfriends brother, Lebron, and I were at a sushi bar enjoying a 3 course meal. Austyn wanted to throw Ashlyn a welcome back party because she had just come back from a cruise. It was very formal and totally out of the norm for me. Since mcdonalds is a luxury. Austyn was paying for everything which i felt bad about but he always says i got you bro. I know it doesnt make it okay but thats sort of how he is and never question the bro code. After we finished eating Austyn wanted to go to the lake. While driving to the lake Austyn bought us some alcohol. Im not much of a drinking but it was four lokos and some Smirnoff vodka. We all took a shot and shotgun our four lokos which was disgusting but it got us drunk. When we got to the lake which was around 10pm the lakes surface was an exact reflection of the sky. It was beautiful, and ominious. As if we were to jump into a void and fall to our death. We were all on the dock and we stripped down to our underwear and Austyn and Lebron were the first to jump but Ashlyn had to convince me to jump. I was too paranoid about my mothers ghost story about swimming at night but nonetheless i jumped and it was a frightening. We sat on the dock for a while and stared at the stars which oddly enough there was a meteor shower happening. Austyn had stashed a few joints in his cigarette pack and we all got high and watched the falling stars. I even thought it was romantic and austyn was clever if he planned this to happen. Ashlyn seemed to enjoy it as she and him were having a hardcore make out sheesh. I have no thoughts on Lebron but he seems fun. I enjoy Austyns company. Weve known each other for about 4 years now and its been nothing but mutual respect and unconditional support from each other. We have good times. Ashlyn is planning a camping trip for us soon and i cant wait!
