I Wonder

If humans are the end of the evolutionary line from mammals, who are currently the dominant species, but reptiles were the dominant species long before mammals..... dinosaurs.... what if they were never wiped out of existence by a meteor ? Would they have evolved into sentient beings like us ? That would translate to there still being humans walking the Earth, but we'd be reptiles and probably look very different with scales instead of hair, etc.

We have a part of our brains thats reptilian brain complex, instinctual behaviors involved in aggression, dominance, territoriality, and ritual displays. We should be related to them in some way I suppose

Who says we're the end of evolutionary line from mammals? I, for one, certainly hope Nature has a few more revisions up her sleeve...
