Being honest, color is nice. But you're right. To me Color is beautiful. The blue sky after a morning rain. The deep shades of green in a forest.
How long since you have seen the full brilliance of colors that make a rainbow? I Sir am not in a gated community. My parents and I moved into this home when I was 15. A sweet 2 bedroom home. I have taken care of this home. I have put a lot of money into it. I stayed to care for my Father and Mother while my 2 sisters went off far far away to make their own families. Dad passed first and Mom had a breakdown. She couldn't bare to be alone. I left my family to move in and care for her. And was promptly told by my two sisters I had to sell their house, My home and split the sale 3 ways. This same home I am in today. I stayed. I took care of my parents. I contributed to painting and re-Roofing. Yes I had a good job, and what was I saving it for since my sisters needed it more... NOPE No way! I love my home. I do not go out and buy a new car every year. I do not have to do anything but take care of and protect what is mine. Mom passed and my sisters were all over me to sell the house; this house, this home I love. Another fight erupting.
I apologize to your race for not using the correct word you want used to describe your race. I don't see my own skin as white. But that is what others see me. Legally on my drivers licence I am white. Sorry again as I am the stupid one because I thought you didn't like being called Black. Any more than I like being called white.
