dicavill, thank you for commenting, i will do, my auntie works behind the bar and the manager looks out for me and my good friend who i go up there with so will have a word with him about it, i don't really want to worry them incase it was just the drink, but that's very doubtful .. luckily when i'm out me and my friend always stick together or i dread to think of the situation i could have been in especially in that state!

degbeme, that's very good advice, i do the same, i won't take a drink of someone i don't no and always keep it with me, but it's so easily done these days, take for example my drink is standing on the bar infront of me and i turn to talk to someone, you don't think about things like that but it can happen in a second.

lostinthemidwest, i agree, it's just the whole knowing if it did happen, some drugs they use you can tell 100% as they make you like you said unconscious or not be able to feel your body, but it's just the knowing part ..

Had a friend who experienced something similar after her FIRST drink and she said she knew there was something wrong within ten minutes and she was slurring her words after half an hour when her dad came to fetch her and she never had anything else. It is more that possible that someone spiked your drink. Go back to that bar and warn them that there's a predator there. Don't take any shit. You were lucky but someone else might not be.

You want a simple solution to that? If you turn to talk to someone casually put your hand over your glass. Hell even I do it if i go out for a beer. I put my hand over the glass or bottle neck. ;)

i definitely will do! the thing is you just don't expect it, especially not in a local pub! i will never understand why people do things like that, it's awful!

Rohypnol is a drug called the date rape drug. I know two people this has happed to. It's sad that their are people out there who do this. It makes you feel dizzy, you speech is slurred, you stubble and can hardly walk and some people will go in and out of consciousness. If you feel like this has happened to you report it because it's important so it doesn't happen to someone else who might end up a victim.

When my daughter used to go out for the evening. I always told her to never leave her drink unattended. If she needed to go to the bathroom and a friend was watching her drink and left it unattended buy a new one! This was 20 years ago, things haven`t changed in fact I think it`s gotten worse. Very happy you made it home safe. :)
