I Have a Question

what does it take to get employed these days? Ive gone out of my way recently for jobs, one at teletech where i was forced to leave after 2 wks, i was taking cabs in the morning cause the buses didnt run that early, i had gotten a 73 on a test after training when i shouldve gotten an 85, then someone from tutor doc got really interested in me and it was an hr away, i didnt have a ride so i took a cab $276 including a tip, the job wouldve been in my area, its been 2 wks and i never heard a word from them, should i ask these companies for my money back? also, rover.com is interested and approved my application but i would have to get a smart phone and pay extra every month for it and im kind of hesitant after these other experiences. so i didnt get one and figured if someone wants me they can either email me or call me on my landline. so any suggestions, im fed up

Well in the UK if you go to some interviews and they aware you have to travel far then they will often reimburse you but that is something you'd need to discuss with the specific company
I doubt if you should ask for your money back.. I like to see you working from home though.

i have government type housing where they go by income, we're not allowed to have our own business here, ive wondered if i should move so i could do that. the person i go to church with has an extra rm and had mentioned i could but i guess im too used to living alone, im going to get extra money soon anyways cause im going back to school so i'll be getting more grants
Have you tried work at home sites ?

@pearllederman: You would be working temporarily for somebody else.

Via PM I´ll send you a link that may help you.

I would not worry about the work at home rule. No one will know if you do it in the privacy of your home. Just save up all the money you make. I hope things get better for you.
