I Have a Question

Is there anything a person can do about noise pollution when the construction guys have a permit to do whatever they want? I've been here almost 5 yrs and last april they decided to tear down the library, court house and firestation down the street. Now theres construction there all the time, including demolishing those buildings, ive been woken up at 5am before because of demolition, the only thing that helps now is winter cause the sun comes up later, thank god or id never sleep,I can never stay up late cause i know i wont be able to sleep in the morning, Im in school and its impossible to do homework at home, i have to take off to the college everyday and stay and do homework or whatever and take the last bus home at 7, i cant get nothing done at home cause of it, no peace and quiet on saturdays either, i have spent saturdays listening to demolition all day long till 5pm, now theyre out till midnight too building stuff, thats not as bad cause theyre a little farther away than the demolition so i can at least run a fan and wear earplugs to muffle it. so i can sleep thru that cause of the distance. but i cant sleep thru the demolition in the morning, luckily theyre almost done with it. I cant just take off all the time cause im not working so i cant spend money like that, to go out etc., i have a free bus pass so i can use that for school all the time. I cant move unless someone wants a live in, im out of work and living on low income housing. i lost my privacy cause now i cant get any quiet at all. any suggestions before this totally makes me lose my mind, i cant file a complaint cause they have a special permit saying they can do whatever they want whenever.
