I Am Lonely

Well, it's been over a month now. I've tried to put myself out there on this site, and no matter what I do, it seems to make no difference at all. It's like, everyone seems to care about each other here, and I'm stuck on the outside looking in. And now I'm crying :/

I believe after high school, it's tougher to make friends because we see people our age range less and less. Even if you attend college, you don't have the same classes with some of your classmates, and when classes finish, people usually go home or go to work and you and they have to do homework and read textbooks for a long time. Social time is shorter while study time is longer. Your classmates may not become your friends because some of them just talk to you for help with the class that you two share. If you work after high school, your exposure to people at your age range is smaller. Your co-workers may not become your friends. People after high school are hustling to survive. They need to work or focus on their studies to get a job or career that pays adequately so that they can live with enough. I don't know if it gets easier to make friends once you're financially independent, you own a vehicle, and you live on your own. However, once you have spending money, you can go to meetups, attend concerts, go to the beach, play sports at a park or gym with a sports league, watch a movie at a cinema, or go anywhere else you like and do anything you want. You'll meet people with similar interests as yours when you go to places where people do the stuff you like.

Update: For making friends online, join forums you like such as gaming, movies, TV shows, fiction writing sites for writers.

Update #2: Also forums about music, books or comment on YouTube videos.
I know what its like to want to strongly reach out and to want some one to be there for you when you're falling apart. Genuine kind souls are a rare find anywhere in this world. Online you are likely to find the comfort you seek but on a place like this you must be careful on who you accept that comfort from. This suffering surely won't last forever, I know it feels like it will but it will subside on and off. At the end of each day just know that the fact you're still breathing means you're doing better than you think. It will be ok eventually, sending out some hugs <3

Thanks. I'm trying to do my best
That's what matters the most. I've been forgotten about by people who really mattered to me as well, So I can very much empathize with how you feel. hugs

Hugs. I'm sorry to hear that. Do you want to talk about it?
The best thing is to use such resources just to let things go. Or practice creative writing. Just that. I learnt this thru life, the more specific one gets the more is the chance of clicking with other people. I was a loner the whole life because being creative is quite a solitary journey, but the better I got in what I do, the more I attracted based on my very specific interests around art and "the occult". We all are connected, the thing is finding out what exactly limits one's experience, what are the blockages. Just a little cheer-up anyway. Hope you feel better soon!

well don't cry. Unless you can't help it. One day you won't be sad and all alone. Niether will I.
SW-User
I know, Prim. It just gets hard to have hope when you get forgotten after a few days
Abbenthewarwolf · 18-21, M
I know just how you feel. I can't do anything right I'm always misunderstood . It's always been this way I don't understand why I'm hated. 😟

TWWS..Don't mistake people that don't understand for hatred hunni..they don't hate you they just can't understand your situation..
SW-User
Pretty much anyone I manage to talk with beyond just commenting on stories. They all just sort of forget me after a few days
SW-User
Chernobyl, I know it does. I wish people would give me enough of a chance to allow that to happen, though
Primnproper · 56-60, F
It can be hard when people get busy in their lives..and obviously time zones can be a problem to..
SW-User
TWWS, I feel much the same way, although I'm not sure hated is the right word
Primnproper · 56-60, F
Don't be sad there's always hope even if you don't feel it right now..
SW-User
I've been trying to be patient, but it never seems to get me anywhere
SW-User
It just takes time for people to open up
Primnproper · 56-60, F
Well I guess you've never had a prim as a friend then..I'm happy to chat when I'm here and if you get really low you can have my email address as that comes to my phone so if I'm not here I'll still get your message.🙂
joahola98wj · 31-35, F
I believe people stop responding to messages because they can't keep the conversation going. I lose interest in conversations sometimes.
SW-User
When will they get better, though? I mean, as I've gotten older, friendships both in real life and online have become more and more fleeting :/
Primnproper · 56-60, F
Well I'm in and out here all day on and off but I'm happy for you to have my email..I'm pm that to you..
CurvesandClass · 51-55, F
I'm sorry you're having a difficult time. Do not fret. Things will get better.
SW-User
I know. I'm aware of those issues all too well. But it's everyone I talk to, you know?
SW-User
It will happen , just be patient with others and yourself
SW-User
No, I've never had Prim as a friend. And ok then :)
SW-User
I know I have time. I'm just tired of waiting
SW-User
OK then. If you want to do that then OK
SW-User
