It was almost everyday, with corn. Frozen, not canned.
This was the step up from lentils every night.
That got old.

@TwiddlerOfThumbs: I like lentils too. You can spice them up different ways and make some tasty dishes...like lentil chili.

@cherokeepatti: Oh me too! I love lentil in green curry. Unfortunately in 1978 with 12.00 to buy groceries for at least two weeks, there were no spices except the basics. Add too that that mom despised onions. They were very bland times.
