I Consider My Pets Family

Question for those with dogs
My dog ordinarily, loves going for walks !
Runs to the door when you mention the word. Pulls at the lead as you walk her. Loves to stop and sniff certain places.
Tail wags incessantly even after she's been back ten minutes !
But, the last few days she has refused to go beyond the front door !
She'll stand there and sniff the air, then run back into the living room refusing to come out !
Real change in character. Almost as if something had spooked her !
Any ideas ??

Could be the weather I have 6 Irish Wolfhounds & 6 Rottweilers they don't like going out when its freezing, raining or snowing x

@Picklebobble2: If you can leave by back door to go walkies instead of going by front door, if so & pup is okay with that then its front door that's the problem x

I wonder if maybe a Fox or something has come close to the house at night...?

No i don't think so.
If we meet another dog i cross the street/field and she's always on a lead !
One night a couple of weeks ago we went out much later than usual. On our travels we saw a Fox and two cubs crossing the street about twenty feet in front of us. She barked but didn't pull towards them.
I wondered if that might have any baring on it ? But she's been out ok since then.
It's also been pretty cold. +4*C tonight. But she's been out when it's been icy and not refused.....?

Very strange! Mine too LOVES walks. Sniffing the air sounds like something is out there that has frightened her. I wonder if you took her out the back door if she would go.
