I Struggle With My Body Image

I used to when I was younger, but not anymore. As far as women in magzines and weight loss commercials go I wanted a flat belly. I would try to do a bunch of sit ups and stuff. But at some point I stopped because I decided it wasn't worth it. I thought about that if I got a flat belly that what if I looked anorexic instead of nice. I knew I didn't want to look like that, I knew I didn't want my body to be messed up. So instead I stopped what I was doing and tried to appreciate for what my body looked like. To this day I still have the same belly as I did back then and I'm going to keep it. If it becomes flat it's going to do it naturally. I do however want some muscles and abs. But that can wait once I have money of my own to buy healthy foods and beans. I do love running and working out. Can't wait til I'm able to swim by myself for the first time in a pool though. Would be very nice to do.

Don't try for a body image that isn't natural. Genetically we are predisposed to have certain body types. Sure, you can eat too much and get fat but you sound like that isn't you. Be happy with what you have and that gives you a confidence which is natural and lets your inner beauty shine through more powerfully than any fake beauty could.

I don't try to get a flat belly anymore. But running and working out is just something I like to do (I don't/can't do it often). I always liked P.E. for the running and life room. Besides swimming for the first time by myself, I also want to rollerskate and skateboard.
