I Don't Understand Why I Try So Hard

I try so hard to save face and let everything vounce off of me. I try to keep my brothers from tearing each other apart, but just get cussed at and belittled. I don't want to see them grow up to hate each other. I care way too much. Why can't I just stop trying? :'(

Reminds me of that poem about work, just change little bits and apply it here...

If you work and do your best
You'll get the sack like all the rest
But if you arse and bugger about
You'll live to see the job right out
The work is hard, the pay is small
So take your time and screw them all
Or on your gravestone neatly lacquered
These 3 words just bleedin' knackered.

Now there ^^^ right there, is the attitude for you to take in this situation.

It's in your nature to be caring.
It's their nature to be combative!
That's why it saddens you but excites them!
I have three. And the two boys were at each other before either hit double figures!!
Used to drive me and the mrs. mad!!!
These days they are two totally different people.
