I Fell Down the Stairs

I work in a restaurant that has a lot of staircases. Only one of them is not carpeted. I went to go down that staircase so I whipped around the corner with a big plate of food in each hand, my foot slipped super quickly right off the first step I took and I fell all the way down the stairs, throwing the food all over myself and everywhere. The first step was basically greased over when I stepped on it so no wonder I slipped. Anyway, I kept limping around working until 1am like I was supposed to and now I'm at home.. Do you think it's too late to ice my back? Its been like 3 hours

Yes ice ice ICE hahaha. Seriously though any kinda injury like that, ice it, and then !gently! streching it will help. Even days after. Do it as long as it hurts and hot pad or warm water soaking is good for it if it's ur lower back

They should've sent you home with pay... go to a doctor.... I think you need some compensation... that sounds horrible

Haha this story is from 2 months ago. I got some scrapes and bruises but I'm all good now :) they paid to have that staircase carpeted the day after I fell. Even though a manager fell on those same stairs a week earlier than me and she broke a rib and went to the hospital, they didn't put the carpet till the day after I fell.
