I Love Poetry

Circles of Love

Butterflies have fluttered on
Birds no longer sing
Many a fool has lost his mind
Thinking love's a simple thing

Confusion reigns in every heart
Life seems incomplete
Many a soul has lost his way
Once pleasure's cooled it's heat

The rainbow loses color
Words seem dim with age
Many a love has drifted
From teasing into rage

Is this love worth saving?
Can we undo the harm?
When I look into your eyes,
Am I still drawn to your charms?

Thunder roars at lightning's flash
Then the colors arc the sky
Many a seed has sprouted
And then refused to die

Fog makes way for sunshine
Blurring tears are dried
Many a traveler's found his way
Once love has been applied

Fields of flying flowers
Butterflies are free
Many;s the time I've pictured you
As the other half of me

Is this love worth saving?
The truth is always there
In the battle of the sexes
To save love, all is fair
