high fructose corn syrup is not good, most processed foods have this, and most soda drinks, I did not say sugar is harmless, I just pointed out with no fat in the system it is distributed much easier...'the fat we eat is the fat we wear"...and combined with sugar is deadly.....it is a long haul for people to let go of fat...so they point out sugar, sugar is not my recommendation here....dr dean ornish REVERSED hear disease with a low fat diet, dr esselstyn reversed heart disease with the same.....also they recommended no processed foods including refined sugar.....many americans are obese because of the amount of saturated fat they consume, along with processed foods.....http://www.pcrm.org/shop/byNealBarnard/dr-barnards-program-for-reversing-diabetes

hi berangere, I realize white sugar is poison, so are sodas...yet the main cause of the obesity epidemic is animal fat, our consumption has increased a LOT in the last few years, I am same weight as when I was 18, which was a while ago...I eat a low fat whole food plant based diet...I eat to satisfaction at every meal....if a person eats no fat at all? they can eat all the sugar they want( not recommended) the blood is clogged with fat, known as "sludge blood" this blocks the receptor sites, the sugar can not be removed by the insulin, this is why diabetes is becoming the largest problem in western countries....I will return the favor of your video, this man Nathan pritikin reversed his heart disease in the 60s with a low fat diet.....listen to him very carefully...he was way ahead of his time.....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOj4rzSkqok&feature=share

sugar is kinda problematic, refined sugar in pop and soda....and in processed foods, fat is the real issue...and many cannot understand this. so they focus on sugar, and nothing changes, many studies have been done with reversing diabetes using a low fat plant based diet/lifestyle..once all animal fat is removed from the diet , and consequently the blood, then the insulin becomes effective, the blood sugar is taken to the receptor sites to be dispersed......we are told by the medical people if we are diabetic, to "don't eat fruit" no sugar!! because they do not offer solutions, just fixes, they treat the problem, yhey do not solve it....do not get to the core, and remove it....so if you wanna stay overweight, just look out for the sugar.....forget the animal fat....

Yes I agree animal fat can be bad for you and cutting meat out of your diet is for most of us the right thing to do,but I still maintain that sugar is a poison to the system, which causes diabetes,obesity,hyperactivity in children,is an empty food deprived of vitamins and minerals and it also uses up vital vitamins in the body so as to be metabolized.I cannot agree with you that sugar is harmless if you stay away from animal fat,sugar IS harmful if eaten in the quantity it is eaten now,hidden in processed foods and so called low fat foods, sodas and others so called "energy drinks"and "restorative drinks".

metabolism can be speeded up regardless of age...a low fat plant based diet/lifestyle is the way.....start with a waterfast, supervised of course...then onto the plantbased diet.....western style eating clogs the blood, slows the system...then some exercise, gradually walking some each day....then slowly and gradually increasing....you will be amazed at the results...

Since almost three months I am not eating any good food again because there´s no possiblity for me and I am feeling already how this food (also pizza) is spoiling my body piece by piece.
I think eating pizza is ok (despite fat) but when it´s too often it spoils your health.

I am not totally sugar free,I eat sugar in moderation and avoid refined sugar and processed foods.I am not exactly thin,but I believe the older one gets the slower the metabolism becomes and it is far easier to pile the kilos on.

once we learn how to exclude fat in our diet, we then really appreciate whole healthy food....then whole food becomes delicious...and fat tastes gross...true..and the cleanup is soooo easy..

depends what you want, remember when we are eating fat like pizza it is an addiction, if t isn't seen in that way, we are doomed to overweight, and perhaps obese...

Sugar is even worse for making us fat,we need some fat in our diet but we can do with far less sugar,sugar has become addictive.
