I Am Going To Boarding School

I spent Friday, Saturday and most of today at my new boarding school. And it is MY school, because I loved it so much that I have now agreed to start there in September - they gave me a scholarship after my interview, but I have been worrying about living away from home. I spent two nights in one of the dorms, taking part in the lessons and other activities. I love the school and its facilities and I love all the girls who were so friendly and helped to make me welcome.

Now I just need to make sure that I get the grades I said I would get 🙄

Someone told me boarding school beds aren't comfortable! But maybe they were wrong. I hope so lol

@teri99: I had to sleep on a mattress on the floor . . but the beds did look quite comfy 🤔

Congratulations, TammieBear! I knew you could do it! I'm so glad that you had a positive experience and first impression at the boarding school you are planning to go to now with your scholarship. Awesome! I don't think you should be afraid about living away from home or not living up to making the high-enough grades through the scholarship. A Boarding School Sounds Cool :) I Hope You Have Lots Of Fun There :D Do You All Have A TV In Your Room Or Do You All Share One? :) And Do You Do Fun Activities Sometimes Like Arts And Crafts And Are You Allowed 2 Bring Handheld Video Games? ;) I Hope It Isn't Too Strict O.O It Reminds Me Of Harry Potter And Yu Gi Oh GX <3 *God Bless All Your Friends In Boarding School*

@SW-User Thank you! We have one TV in our shared living area, but some of us watch films on our laptops. There are lots of arts and crafts activities to do. My favourites are making clothes and cooking 🙂 We are allowed video games, but there are rules on how long we can play them 😒 The school is a bit like Harry Potter's, except there are no boys! 😄

First time I went away to school was when I was in college. It is an adjustment. And you may get homesick some. But hang in there and work hard.
