I Have Psychic Experiences

An Odd Incident from a while ago...

I went on a short cruise a few years ago. It was nothing fancy, just three days and two nights.   It was short and sweet and not expensive.   My first experience on a cruise liner.   Generally, I do not like ships.   I get sea sick quite easily and I have this thing about ships sinking, and perhaps drowning in the process.   Its a mild phobia, but its always in the back of my mind whenever I am on a boat or ship that is in open ocean.   Lakes and streams are OK, but not open Ocean.   However, the larger the ship, the better I am.   This cruise was on board a big ship so that made it somewhat easier.   Only three or four times during the cruise was a I really aware I was on ship, and that is my idea of being on a cruise.   Either you can see land all the time, or you don't know you are on board a ship.

On the last evening, no one wanted to go and have dinner.   My companions were partied out, but I was hungry.   They told me, why don't you go and see what is available at the late dinner, so I did.   I was to work my way to the rear dining room, and if I found the dinner arrangement satisfactory, I was to report back to everyone one else, and then maybe the others would join me for dinner.   I looked at my watch as I left my cabin.   It was 9:26pm.   It was a Saturday night.   I worked my way through the maze of hallways, all nicely carpeted.   I seemed to be alone, with the exception of a single maid who was making her way along in front of me, but she disappeared down a service corridor and was gone from sight.

According to the maps I found, bolted to the bulkheads along the way, I was about halfway to the dining room, when a strange feeling came over me.   It was a feeling of dread.   I stopped in my tracks and listen to the feeling.   What is it trying to tell me?   It was a warning!   It said, in a sort of deep, inner voice, "Be aware, your sister-in-law just informed your brother that you are on a cruise this weekend.   Your brother is very jealous.   He will book himself and his girlfriend on a cruise shortly to compete with you.   Best to avoid your brother".   And then the feeling and message were gone.   I looked at my watch, it was 9:31pm.

My brother.   What can I say that would not take up an entire book?   He is very narcissistic.   I was recently told by someone, in my brother's case, not to underestimate the "very" in very narcissistic   This sucks, because at that time my brother and I shared a house together.   A mutual deal we worked out, because he promised he would be working out of town, which was a promise he very quickly broke and he stopped helping out with the rent.   I have spoken to many people over the years and all they can say about my brother is... "a very strange", or "...a very odd" person.   These are the two most common quotes I hear. lately, his sanity has come under questioning.

I finally returned home on Monday and my sister-in-law called me to asked how the trip went.   We spoke for about 15 minutes.   At the end, I reluctantly asked...

"Did you talk to my brother, by any chance?”, I asked.

"Yes", she said, "He called Saturday night".

"Did he call around 9:30pm?", I asked.

She paused and gave a slow, "Yes... why?".

"You told him I was on a cruise, didn't you?", I asked reluctantly.

Her answer was yes, she did tell him but she added, "How did you know? Did you speak with him?".

"No", I said, "I was told, or should I say, warned that you told him".

She asked me what possible difference would it make that he knew and I all I could say was, "He is a very insecure person, he gets jealous very quickly and easily and he is very competitive.   He will now want to book himself and his girlfriend a cruise just to "get even" with me.   That is how he thinks.   Its bizarre, childish, odd behavior, but that is what it has been like having him as a brother for the last 30+ years.   He is always done that".   I then informed her that within two weeks, I will somehow find out he is booking a cruise.   She didn't believe me.   She felt he was not that immature.   My brother and I share a PO Box. Two weeks later, to the day, I found a cruise line brochure in the mail box addressed to my brother.   During this time, my brother never asked me, "How was your cruise? or "Did you have a nice trip".   No.   That is not like him.   You don't follow proper etiquette with someone you are competing with.   Why on earth would he do that?   A month later I found he had booked a cruise.   I was warned, but the warning came across more as, "Best to avoid your brother", which is what I did.   He never discussed it with me and I felt if I had talked about it with him, it would have just made him angry.   Its an odd life I lead, but at least, for some of the time, someone, or something, is watching out over me.   That at least that is comforting.
