I Want To Shoot A Photo A Day

Day 53: Late night wanderings

Noble · 56-60, M
That's an eerily awesome photograph!

I love the juxtaposition of the colors behind the b&w, as well as the aged discourse of the limestone against the detailed stained glass.

Very nice!
Thank you. I think that's exactly why it caught my eye.

I was running late for the show I was going to see but I stopped to take the photo anyway. I couldn't walk by and let the opportunity pass.

Wise decision👍🏼

have you ever took a photo a day of yourself and watch how you've changed over time? I'm thinking of doing that. Set up a camera and just leave it there, then snap a photo each day..
No. I haven't. I don't take many photos of myself.

So pretty! I love the light through the stained glass.
I've been by this church hundreds of times and can't remember seeing it looking like this. I think because I'm either there during the day or super late. It's sort of on a backstreet between a couple concert venues and parking garages and often walk by after shows.

@ProdigalSummer: it looks like a great place for a walk! Funny how sometimes familiar places can look totally different.
@Summersong: it's a hidden treasure in the urban landscape. There's also an old fort about a block away. In need to get down there soon.

[c=#7700B2]That is seriously beautiful. Where is it? Great photo![/c]
Thank you. It's one of the oldest buildings in Knoxville, TN. It was built in 1792 and several of the city's founding fathers are buried there.

Oh that's lovely! The warmth keeps the graves from looking too cold. 🙂
Yeah. It would feel very different if the lights were out.

Great photo, love the atmosphere
Thank you. I love how warm and inviting the church looks through the shadowy depth of the church.
I feel like there's a metaphor there somewhere.

@ProdigalSummer: I agree, the inviting light compared to the cold of the night. Could relate on a religious level, or light verses dark, life verses death etc. Truly a great photo

Night shots are challenging. Usually foreground or background are over exposed, Windows notoriously fall victim to this issue. You found the sweet spot. Well done.
@zerooo: yep. We played with it in a photo class.

My favorite low light shot I've taken.

And I like this one too:[image deleted]

@ProdigalSummer: nice. You got skills.
@zerooo: 🤗Thanks.
Thanks. 🤗
It reminds me of runescape lol

Hauntingly gorgeous. It's impressive that you were able to succeed in getting such an exquisite image using your phone. You have true talent.

@ProdigalSummer: sorry - I misunderstood one of your earlier comments.
@MoutainMan: im sorry I thought I was responding about the other photo post from today. This one was shot with my phone. My apologies.
