I think it's got a lot to do with the complete detachment that goes with online so called 'friendships'. They're missing all the personal interactions that take place unconciously between two people in a real life meeting. There appears little or no obligation to consider another's feelings, or even genuinely acknowledge that someone might even have any!
It's why you shouldn't be taking on line friendships too seriously. Online sites such as this are probably more about venting frustrations than any real desire to aquire friendship.
This is only my observations and which for another might not be entirely correct.

@coolboy86: To add to the previous - I come in here because it's a lot more entertaining than the TV or newspaper, and quite frankly, the TV commercials, are often a lot cleverer than the programs! (lol)

its fucking hard not to be bummed out or get your feelings hurt when you had a good conversation with someone and you had things in common and think theres potential to meet then they go MIA you just get this feeling like cant something just work out once
