I Have Scientific Proof of God Wich You Cant Argue With

Surely, the burden of proof falls on anyone claiming something to be true? I'm interested in believing in many of the purported truths, but I'd just like someone to prove it to me first.
Faith alone is rather pointless. You could spend your life believing in something for which you have no proof, but have faith in it, and it turn out not to be true afterall. Isn't that a waste? More to the point, why don't religious people require actual scientific proof of things?
The builder who builds you a house then tells you "You can move in straight away. I built it on faith alone and I have faith it will stand up and not fall down, but no evidence to show that it wont." is not good enough for anyone. And that's just a house.
When someone makes an almighty claim about the existence of a God, but has no proof whatsoever, it's kind of hilarious.
