Nothing and no one can take from you your joy regardless of what life places in your path!
My brother-in-law passed away suddenly in his sleep a few days ago. He was only 51 years old. He left behind a wife, daughters, grandchildren, brothers, a sister and many other relatives, friends and acquaintances. He treated all with the same respect and love he had for himself and his family. At least that's the way I perceived him in the 40+ years I've known him. He was there for you at the drop of a dime if needed. If not in person than on the phone or through social media.
I can't be with his family and I am very sad but there's something I can do. That is to remember him and his love for making my world and the many other people he brought joy and happiness to. He taught me a very valuable lesson. To live your life like every day was your last regardlesss of the seeming issues that come with living.
He taught me to never give up even when you feel like your world is caving in all around you. He had many trials that I know of personally and he never showed me that giving up was an option.
He loved, he laughed through it all, he fought for the ones he loved in the many ways he knew how. Sometimes it wasn't as others thought he should but he was true to himself. He always made me feel like I was wanted and needed in this world.
He was the love that so many search for and never find. I am so very grateful to have had the pleasure of knowing this awesome soul and friend. He will be missed by so very many and so very much! I cannot express the feeling I've had these last couple days. My emotions were all over the place. Remembering him and his love kept me in balance in my heart and mind. It will take some time to heal from him being gone in the body. I'm choosing to remember his love for life and the people he showed it to.
Kenny I remember that very first day I met you. You were 16 and were going through so much angst but you didn't show it. You took it as part of life and made the best of it. Your face always had smile on it. One other person who showed me to smile regardless of what life handed me was Billy. He must have inherited that from you! Here's to you Ken and your Beautiful Soul... As Billy would always say "Have a Coke and Smile"... I will remember you always and forever! 💖🎶🌞🌈
