I Have Sleep Paralysis

I have had it for as long as I can remember. Before I started to read about it I would think that it was a really bad nightmare or some kind of sleep terror.

I have had it quite a bit recently, but my worst one was in May.

It was the night before I swore into the Air Force. I had to stay at a hotel that night so I could get on a bus in the morning and head to MEPS with everyone else.

Before I went to sleep that night, I took a dreaming supplement. I knew it could possibly give me sleep paralysis, but little did I know I was in for a very negative trip. Later that night I found myself in sleep paralysis, but this time it seemed much worse. The only thing I could do was snore. I kept snoring as a cry for help, hoping that my roommate would wake me up or something. He was either in deep sleep or just thought I was a loud sleeper. Me being on a dreaming supplement while sleeping in an unfamiliar place made things much worse.

The next thing I remember is being able to move around the hotel room. It was strange, something didn't feel right. I realized that I wasn't really awake.

Once I realized that I was in a nightmare I became paranoid. For some reason I felt like in order to end the nightmare I had to go down the hotel hallway. But the hotel hallway was eerie. It was like something from silent hill. I was too afraid to go down there. I was constantly switching between sleep paralysis and the nightmare. I assume I was falling asleep and waking back up constantly. For some reason I felt like the only way to end this terror was to go down the hallway, but my instincts told me not to do it.

It felt like it was hours before this terror ended. When I first woke up I thought I was still in the nightmare. I just stayed still and looked around before I realized where I was. I stayed up for about 30 minutes and texted my friend until my paranoia died down a little.
