Do your parents still live in the house you grew up in?

They live in two separate houses in different towns, one is remarried and the other married the person she cheated on my dad with, but is now separated from him.

*this may be why I'm [i]not[/i] so family oriented 🤔

@Madeleine: I'm not, they are very different people and they're both happier now. It left me and my siblings with a strange view of relationships but that can be a positive in the modern world.

yeah I am family oriented, but I am not happy with my family. my parents are not that good parents even though they financially support me, their psychological support is worse.

I'm sorry to learn that, but sometimes parents find it hard to communicate emotionally with their kids. I'm sure they really love you though. Maybe you will be able to excuse them by focusing on the bright side.

My parents never sit down and talk to me, I found that really hard when I was a teenager, but now I learned that this is who they are, they would support me in every single way, but never express how they feel about me. I accept it now.
