The Museum of Bad Ideas
IMHO, we are in this mess because of some really bad ideas, philosophies, and worldviews that have been absorbed by too many people, especially in the U.S.:
1) "I'm independent and I can do everything by myself. I never need help from anybody."
2) "Anybody who does need help is worthless, and I shouldn't have to help them."
3) "My way of looking at the world is the only correct one. Everybody else should do things the way I say."
Now, this is just my .02. And there are a lot of other bad ideas out there, which belong in a museum. But this is good for a start.
