Just to add tho.. while it isnt anyone's place to judge.. the very significant age difference between you and your husband might cause problems.. I am sure the baby wil be loved but there are factors such as that your husband at 71 will likely not be able to be as active in raising the kids, things like football in the park etc and running, chasing etc... and your child might well get teased a lot for having a much older dad.. My worry for you would be that I hope you are left financially secure as you will ultimately be left to raise the kids yourself.
